RevGen – the Premier Summer Concert in NJ – Introduces New Text Feature

Frenchtown, NJ (PRnine – June 26, 2009) - Everyone knows that people communicate with each other using their cell phones and more specifically, by texting. It seems like the fewer gray hairs you’ve got the more you know how to take advantage of cell phone technology. With that in mind, Revelation Generation™, a mind-blowing annual concert in NJ held over Labor Day weekend, has introduced event info via text messaging.

Now music fans can just text “revgen” to 41411 for concert updates, to buy tickets, info about the bands, a link to the official RevGen website (www.revgen.org) and more.

“We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people of all ages, and particularly the teens and college students who comprise the overwhelming majority of our show goers, to get quick, up-to-date info about RevGen which they can share with their friends. We’ve had great success with online ticket sales,” says Bob Grom, RevGen promoter, “and we want to continue to be as accessible as possible to people looking for us online.”

The massive two-day music festival will take place on September 4 and 5. This year’s featured bands include Underoath, Mercy Me, Switchfoot, Flyleaf, Relient K, Jars of Clay, Delirious, Haste the Day, The Devil Wears Prada, The Glorious Unseen, Lecrae and many more, for a total of over 50 artists on five stages, onsite at Revelation Farms, Frenchtown, NJ:

Now in its fifth year, Revelation Generation has emerged as the premier summer concert in NJ as well as the greater New York and Philadelphia areas. Last year, Revelation Generation welcomed more than 25,000 fans – a figure we expect to eclipse this year. In addition to the musical acts, Revelation Generation will host amazing speakers, children’s activities, games, extreme sports, incredible local food, a massive merchandise tent and state of the art sound and lighting.
