Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Harry Connick Jr. reportedly walked out on an Australian TV variety show after guests appeared on the program in blackface. As reported by the Yahoo! News Blog, the Grammy winning singer and actor returned to “Hey, Hey It’s Saturday,” which he appeared on as a guest judge, after his exit and received an apology from host Daryl Somers for the star being offended by the routine. Somers is quoted in the report as stating to Connick, “I know that to your countrymen, that’s an insult to have a blackface routine like that on the show, so I do apologize to you.” Connick is quoted as giving the response, “We’ve spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons, that when we see something like that, we take it really to heart … If I knew that would be part of the show, I probably, I definitely wouldn’t have done it.” WiredPRNews.com – The latest in Entertainment News Photo Credit: Wikipedia User Stephanie Schoyer Come And Visit
