Metropolitan Police Department alerts Washington auto accident lawyers- Life-threatening injuries reported after motor vehicle collision on North Capitol St.

Washington, D.C.—A two-vehicle wreck on North Capitol Street sent seven people, including a pedestrian and a child, to the hospital. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) happened on Friday morning, October 30, 2009 around 6:00 a.m., on North Capitol Street at the Missouri Avenue intersection, as reported by WJLA.

The Metropolitan Police Department responded the scene of the two-vehicle crash and reported that two people sustained life-threatening injuries. Five other victims apparently sustained lesser injuries, which included a child who was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle. All seven victims were transported to local hospitals by responding emergency medical services (EMS) crews.

Police officials believe one of the victims, who was found lying in the roadway, was a pedestrian. It is currently unknown what caused the crash. The identities of the victims are currently being withheld pending family notification. Both directions of Missouri Avenue from Fort Totten to North Capitol Street, and both directions of North Capitol Street from Gallatin to New Hampshire Avenue have been shut down by DC Department of Transportation until the crash scene is cleared the investigations are completed. Police officials are currently investigating the serious two-vehicle collision. No charges have been filed at this time in connection with the wreck.
