 ‘Gossip Girl’ threesome promos spark protestNovember 4, 2009 A group is requesting that the CW network not air an episode of the program depicting a threesome between three major characters. New York (WiredPRNews.com) – Promotions for an upcoming episode of the CW’s “Gossip Girl” has sparked protest from a group requesting the network’s affiliates block the show. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the Parents Television Council is urging stations to not air an episode depicting a threesome between main characters of the popular program that is set to air Nov. 9. PTC president Tim Winter is quoted by the AP as asking in a letter sent to affiliates, “Will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films?” Winter is further quoted in the report as stating of the organization’s issues with content shown on the program, “CW has been defending graphic content on ‘Gossip Girl’ by asserting that they don’t target teenagers…Such a claim doesn’t even pass the laugh test.” WiredPRNews.com – The latest in Entertainment News Photo Credit: Wikipedia User David Shankbone Come And Visit
