'Alive' Andes Flight Disaster Mountain Expedition

The Alive expedition takes place March 13 - March 21, 2010 and will make a moderately demanding trek thru the Argentinean Andes Mountains to El Valle de las Lagrimas (The Valley of Tears), to the site of the crash. A group of up to sixteen people will relive their adventure, considered one of the most incredible and heroic feats of survival in recent history.

This very special expedition also provides the opportunity for participants to interact with survivors of the 72 day post-crash ordeal. Throughout the expedition, crash survivors Gustavo Zerbino and Eduardo Strauch will guide the group through the majestic and mysterious Andean landscapes and share the life-changing experiences after their plane went down in October, 1972. Gustavo will join the expedition in Mendoza for dinner where he will discuss his experiences and field questions; he states the sense of adrenaline and the connection with life that I felt in those mountains has never left me. Going back there is like being recharged and reconnected with a cosmic energy, with those mountains that are alive. Eduardo Strauch, will join the expedition in Argentina, mainly during the physical portions of the nine day adventure.
