"We expect the Street to focus on the imaging and printing group (30-35% of operating profit) where revenue declined by 10-15% year-over-year in the past two quarters," wrote Dinesh Moorjani of Broadpoint AmTech in a note to clients on Wednesday. "We believe inventory de-stocking by customers is largely complete, and that revenue should grow in-line with end demand in [the first half of 2010]." Shaw Wu, who covers H-P for Kaufman Bros., called the pre-announcement "a positive indicator of demand trends and H-P's continued execution."
