Pease Pottage Service Station is a popular stop-off for anyone using the M23 near Crawley.

Many Surrey drivers will use the route for days out to Brighton this summer, but where are the best places top eat for those that do use the popular services?

Well, as it happens, only one of the service station's food outlets falls shy of full marks.

West Cornwall Pasty was rated on March 7 of this year, when Food Standards Agency inspectors gave it a rating of four (out of five).

BP, Burger King, Costa Coffee, Greggs, Marks & Spencer Simply Foods and W H Smith have all received full marks.

All the ratings included below have been taken from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website and were accurate at the time of publication (July 28 2017).

All of the outlets received a rating of five, which means that hygienic food handling, cleanliness and management of food safety are all at a good or very good level.
