Alexis Sanchez has caused a social media storm after he appeared to confirm he is leaving Arsenal for Manchester United, before deleting his comment.

The Chilean, who has agreed terms with the Old Trafford club, responded to an Instagram post uploaded by Arsenal Fan TV member, Troopz.

The message, which in short said goodbye to the forward, read: "Yh [sic] I said he can f*** off, but you say things in the heat of the moment when emotions are all over the place!!!

"I've said my misses can f*** off then 3 hours later I'm all up in there.

"I loved this man like cook food but it's time to say goodbye !!! One common denominator in this deal... Arsene B********* Wenger kmt."

Sanchez responded by giving the post a 'like' and commenting two crying face emojis - sparking a bit of a frenzy among Man United fans, who saw this as confirmation he was ready to leave.

The Chilean then stoked this further by deleting the comment, presumably after his mentions exploded on the back of his initial action.

Arsene Wenger all but confirmed Sanchez would be leaving in his press conference on Thursday, where he admitted: "Yes it is likely to happen.

The Gunners boss added: "But any minute things can break down. That's how the transfer market is. These things are never guaranteed."
