(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led Arab Coalition Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen Monday announced an all-out humanitarian process in this war-torn Arab country.
The process includes a set of fresh initiatives involving USD 1.5 billion in aid to the UN humanitarian plan in Yemen, according to a statement issued at the conclusion of the coalition's ministerial meeting held in Riyadh today.
The new process also encompasses depositing USD 2 billion with Yemen's central bank, providing 17 safe border corridors for humanitarian aid and launching an airlift to Ma'rib, it added.
Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and several other Kuwaiti officials attended the meeting.
The Saudi-led coalition said earlier on Sunday that it would offer USD 2.5 billion in fresh humanitarian aid to Yemen. (end) ad.mt
