The Oregon State Beavers football program hosted five official visitors over the weekend, highlighted by a possible backfield of the future.
Both Arizona Western College quarterback Jack Colletto and Texas 3-star running back Ta'Zhawn Henry were in Corvallis over the weekend, as Jonathan Smith and his staff made late-game pushes to secure their commitments.
For the 5-foot-8, 175-pound ball-carrier, out of Lamar High School (Houston, Texas), the trip was enough for Oregon State to make his final three.
Henry, the nation's No. 24 all-purpose back, is set to announce between Nebraska, Oregon State and Texas Tech on Signing Day (February 7).
For Henry, this weekend's official visit solidified his love of the Oregon State coaching staff and the way he is valued and treated by the Beavers football program.
"The trip was great," he said. "I love the coaches and the players. Everyone was great people - nice. My family loves the coaches."
For much of the 2018 recruiting cycle, running back was not considered a top priority for the Oregon State program.
However, with Ryan Nall's recent announcement to enter the NFL draft, the Beavers would like to add a ball-carrier in the 2018 class.
So far, the main target has been Henry.
Will that continue into Signing Day?
It'll come down to Henry's big decision.
