Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will join the New York Yankees at their spring training camp in Florida, the quarterback said on social media Thursday.

Wilson's arrival on Monday coincides with the Yankees game against the Philadelphia Phillies at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. Wilson will be with the Yankees for six days, leaving March 3.

Wilson, who played baseball in college at North Carolina State, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft by the Colorado Rockies. He played in the Low A and Class A levels of the Rockies organization, hitting .229 with 72 hits, 26 RBIs and 19 steals in 315 at-bats before the Texas Rangers selected him in the Rule 5 draft in 2013.

The Rangers traded him to the Yankees Feb. 7.

Wilson isn't expected to play in any spring training games. He'll take batting practice, maybe scoop up a few grounders for a while and trades notes with players such as Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge.
