Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has warned the club's prospective new owners the "disadvantage" his team faces in the transfer market this summer "is big".

The Blues finished the season with a 1-0 win over Watford at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but with Todd Boehly's takeover of the club yet to be finalised. And that has led to Tuchel to tell his potential new boss that the club will have to be "fast and smart" once they are able to make moves in the transfer market.

Tuchel has also named the four other sides he thinks will rival the Blues for the Premier League title next season – leaving one of the 'Big Six' teams out. And Antonio Rudiger has shared a touching farewell message to Chelsea with the defender set to join Real Madrid.

Tuchel's transfer warning

Thomas Tuchel has warned his Chelsea bosses the club faces a 'big disadvantage' in the transfer market this summer ahead of their rebuild.

The Blues' takeover is yet to be finalised after Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale earlier this year following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Todd Boehly is set to complete his £4billion takeover of the club with the Blues in desperate need of a summer rebuild.

With the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen set to leave when their contracts expire and question marks still lingering over Tuchel's forward line the Blues boss says his side will need to be "fast and smart" in the transfer market once the takeover does go through.

But Tuchel expects Tottenham Hotspur to be "in the race with Antonio Conte" while also revealing he expects Manchester United to bounce back from a disappointing season to challenge under Erik ten Hag.

And with the Chelsea boss expecting so many teams to be competitive next season, Tuchel says he thinks it will be "a super tough race".

Rudiger's touching farewell

Antonio Rudiger has said Chelsea will "will always remain special" to him after playing his final game for the club.

The German defender is set to join Real Madrid when his contract at Stamford Bridge expires this summer and he played his last game during Sunday's 2-1 win over Watford.

Following that match Rudiger shared a touching farewell to the club on social media, while telling The Players Tribune he leaves the club "with a heavy heart". And he says the Blues also gave him a "new brother for life named Kova" as he prepares to depart for Madrid.
