There’s optimism an international forum recently held in Barbados will result in new film collaborations between the UK, Canada, Africa and the Caribbean.
This is the hope of the Co-founder of the Barbados Independent Film Festival, Sir Trevor Carmichael.
The cross-continental forum was hosted by the CaribbeanTales Media Group and Imagine Media International, in association with the Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
The five-day forum, which wrapped up on Friday, brought together 26 high-level film producers.
Sir Trevor was speaking ahead of a screening of the the film Riceboy Sleeps, on the tenth anniversary of National Canadian Film Day.
