Comic Relief viewers have been left in high spirits after the Beyond Paradise and Not Going Out crossover sketch, with many calling it "amazing". The special segment brought together two of BBC 's beloved shows for a unique collaboration during the charity event, which was broadcast on Friday, 21 March on BBC One.

The comedic scene featured characters Lee (played by Lee Mack) and Kate (portrayed by Megan Dodds) from Not Going Out alongside DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) from Beyond Paradise.

Confusion reigned supreme due to a comical case of mistaken identity, especially as Sally Bretton plays both Lee's wife Lucy in Not Going Out and Humphrey's wife Martha Lloyd in Beyond Paradise.

The unexpected merging of these television worlds had audiences at home roaring with laughter. Fans flocked to social media to express their enjoyment, with many declaring the skit the highlight of Comic Relief.
