Kendra Wilkinson, the 39 year old reality star who rose to fame as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends on The Girls Next Door, has revealed her time in the Playboy Mansion has had a lasting impact.

The star, who rose to fame as one of Playboy millionaire Hugh Hefner's main girlfriends alongside two others, was just 18 when she began dating Hefner. She's now opened up as she explains it's shaped her 'views on sex'.

Kendra, now 39, revealed she's undergone therapy since quitting the Playboy lifestyle in 2009 to marry ex-husband Hank Baskett. However, she revealed she's 'still struggling' with some of the after effects of her time in the mansion.

Speaking with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on their latest Amy & T.J. podcast, Kendra revealed: "Look, I struggle still to this day with my relationships and my views on sex.

"I had to go through a lot of therapy, and they looked at me and they're like — this is the first time I'm admitting this — but they're like, "You might have a little bit of a sex problem. You have a little bit of a problem when it comes to thinking of sex."'

She added that she has also struggled with "unhealthy thoughts", stemming from her time in the Playboy Mansion.

After leaving reality TV, Kendra combined her love for real estate and television in a series called Kendra Sells Hollywood. The show was axed in 2023, and she later confessed that she wasn't mentally prepared to return to the spotlight. Speaking to People, she said: "I feel a little regret filming my last show because I wasn't really ready. I was a little bit off mentally. I wasn't prepared to be on a camera just yet. I wasn't fully healed or there yet. Now I feel there."

However since seeking therapy and settling into a post Playboy world, Kendra has revealed she is finally feeling "mentally healthy" after finding "peace" in her life.

In January she shared an Instagram post with fans where she wrote: "Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I'm ageing. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before (Playboy girl) but for once in a long time, I feel good and mentally healthy." She added, "Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny."

The screen star, who is a mother to kids Hank and Alijah with ex-husband Hank Baskett, also had a message for online trolls criticizing her new weight and age: "For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 year old face please know that I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life finally."

She asked them to respect her happiness and peace, adding, "Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together. Almost 40 is feeling amazing and yes to the people criticizing my alcohol intake ... I hear you and that will be monitored better." She concluded by saying, "Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much but you know what’s coming up in JUNE.... Shots. Love ya."
