Things to do in Green Bay this weekend: Celebration of Trans Visibility, Blizzard season opener, Whitney Cummings

With March wrapping up, here are things to check out the last weekend of the month.

Here are things going on around the Green Bay area this weekend.

Celebration of Trans Visibility

Ahead of Transgender Day of Visibility on Monday, join celebrations Sunday night at the Tarlton Theatre, 405 W. Walnut St. The theater, Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity, Bay Area Trans Youth Alliance, and Third Space are putting on the Celebration of Trans Visibility with performances and statements by area transgender leaders.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free but reservations and donations are encouraged for tables. More information is on the Facebook event.

Green Bay Blizzard

Check out the season opener for the Green Bay Blizzard against Iowa for youth jersey night Friday. The first 1,000 kids younger than 12 will get a youth jersey.

The game is at 6 p.m. Friday at the Resch Center. Tickets are $12-$63 on Ticket Star.

Listen to Adele hits at candlelight concert

Listen to all of Adele's emotional hits with another candlelight concert at Birder Hall. Fever Up hosts the Listeso String Quartet's performance of songs like "Hello," "Rumour Has It," and "Someone Like You."

Remaining tickets are $42.50 on feverup.com. The concert is 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere.

Gamblers game

The Green Bay Gamblers are playing Dubuque Fighting Saints at 6 p.m. Saturday. They will play on Hispanic Heritage Night and Family Night with discounted kids' tickets and $2 hot dogs and sodas. Tickets start at $13 for adults and $11 for kids on Ticket Star.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, the Gamblers play USA Hockey where kids' tickets are $10. The games are the Resch Center.

Whitney Cummings

Comedian Whitney Cummings will be at the Meyer Theatre at 7 p.m. Saturday. Cummings co-created and co-wrote "2 Broke Girls" on CBS.

Tickets are $39.75-$100 on Ticket Star.

Maple Syrup Day at Barkhausen

Learn how maple syrup is made with a guided hike at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve. Check out stations in the sugar bush and a close-up look at the Sugar Shack where syrup gets ready.

Tickets are $5 online at the county website. Drop in between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the preserve, 2024 Lakeview Drive, Suamico.
