PM Modi Nagpur visit Highlights: Crores of people are getting free treatment today, says PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Nagpur early on Sunday morning. He paid homage to Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangh (RSS)’s first Sarsanghchalak Dr K B Hedgewar and other founders of the Sangh in Smruti Mandir.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Nagpur early on Sunday morning. He paid homage to Rashstriya Swamsevak Sangh (RSS)’s first Sarsanghchalak Dr K B Hedgewar and other founders of the Sangh in Smruti Mandir. The Prime Minister’s visit coincided with RSS function to celebrate Gudi Padwa festival. He was also accompanied by Maharshtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
Notably, memorials of Hedgewar and M S Golwalkar, the second Sarsanghchalak of the Sangh are at the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur. Later, he will also visit Deekshabhoomi, where Dr B R Ambedkar emraced Buddhism along with his followers in 1956.
He also laid the foundation stone for Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a new extension building of Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre in the city. Earlier on Saturday, the Special Protection Group (SPG) and Nagpur police held a full rehearsal of the security arrangements. Speaking to PTI, an official said, “The PM’s convoy will include 20 special vehicles, including those connected to VIP protection and others having RCEID (radio controlled improvised explosive devices) jammer equipment.”

We have just heard in the Kul Geet of Madhav Netralaya that this is a wonderful school of spirituality, knowledge, pride and guruta, this service temple is dedicated to humanity, there is a temple in every particle. Madhav Netralaya is an institution that has been serving millions of people following the ideals of Pujya Guruji for many decades.”

Established in 2014, the super-speciality ophthalmic care facility was founded in memory of RSS second Sarsanghchalak MS Golwalkar. The facility will feature a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments (OPDs), and 14 modular operation theatres to provide affordable and world-class eye care services to the people.
