Grand National 2025: ‘Truly global’ TV audience to watch world famous horse race
The 177th running of the historic jumps race will be viewed by multi-millions around the world on Saturday when it will be shown live in 170 countries
The Randox Grand National will be going global on Saturday when a worldwide TV audience of multi-millions is set to watch the race live. The historic contest will have its 177th running at Aintree when 34 horses are set to line up to jump 30 fences of the 4m2f event which is worth £1 million.
In Britain the will be shown live on ITV and the subscription channel Racing TV while elsewhere more than 30 broadcasters will showcase the world’s most famous jumps race live to around 170 countries. Leading broadcasters such as SuperSport (Africa), ESPN (LATAM and Caribbean), Fanduel (US), Viaplay and Setanta (Europe) have signed up to deals secured by the Jockey Club, Racecourse Media Group and HBA Media.
Among those showing the race for the first time include FanCode, which has 160m users in India, Sportsnet (Canada), D-Smart (Turkey) and Charlton (Israel). Fox Sports will include highlights on its American network for the first time.
The race can also be followed on selected airlines and cruise-lines, which will be showing live coverage via the Sport 24 network.
CNN will cover the race for its flagship World Sport programme, which reaches over 350 million households, while Trans World Sport, the leading global sports magazine programme, will provide added exposure. Coverage of the race will also be widely available to news outlets across the world via Reuters.

Broadcasters have the choice of taking the World Feed, Track Feed (which allows broadcasters to insert their own presentation) and a Crown Jewels Racing feed which features the Randox Grand National alongside the Dubai World Cup in a special three-and-a-half-hour programme, produced by RMG.
