BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Severe weather is expected to hit the region Wednesday, raising concerns about tornadoes, gusty winds, hail and more.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency Wednesday morning, sharing the state’s response plans.

Ahead of the forecasted storms, WBKO has compiled a list of tornado shelters available across South Central Kentucky. Shelters will open once a tornado watch or warning is implemented in the area.
