An award-winning journalist and broadcaster will visit Salisbury in May.

Arundells, the historic home of Sir Edward Heath in Salisbury's Cathedral Close, will host an evening with Ash Bhardwaj on Monday, May 12, at 7.30pm.

Bhardwaj has reported from more than 50 countries, including remote and challenging locations.

His work has been featured in The Telegraph, The Times and Condé Nast Traveller, and he is a regular on BBC Radio 4.

Arundells will host an evening with Ash Bhardwaj. (Image: Arundells) At the event, Bhardwaj will discuss the themes in his book, Why We Travel: A Journey into Human Motivation, which was named the Independent Best Travel Book of 2024.

The book looks at the 12 universal motivations that drive people's desire to explore the world.

Attendees will hear about Bhardwaj's journeys and gain insights into the reasons behind wanderlust.

There will also be a question and answer session.
