FOX 11 viewers top last year's total in food drive

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- FOX 11 viewers stepped up once again during Wednesday's food drive.

Bob Hornacek of Paul's Pantry says an estimated 19,000 pounds of food was collected during the drive, along with $2,198 in monetary donations.

That compares to 17,000 pounds and $4,108 collected during last year's drive.

"In a time where so many people are looking out for themselves and their own interests, it is truly humbling to see the generosity shown by your viewers," Hornacek wrote in an email to FOX 11.

The drive was part of the Sinclair Day of Service, a nationwide effort organized by FOX 11 and CW 14's parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group.
