House Democrat Deems Elon Musk ‘The Most Unlikeable Person in This Country’ After Billionaire Gets Mocked by Gamers
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) called billionaire DOGE head Elon Musk “the most unlikeable person in this country” on Thursday after Musk was repeatedly harassed while playing a video game on a livestream.
During a speech to fellow Democrats, Garcia highlighted the ongoing feud between Musk and White House trade adviser Peter Navarro and noted:
You’re seeing other Republicans being a little bit more comfortable in criticizing Elon Musk. I believe there was a cabinet meeting, I think maybe today. Who was not there? Elon Musk. And so there’s no question that since Wisconsin, Elon Musk himself knows that he is becoming a more toxic brand. I mean, the man can’t even go and play video games anymore because people that he’s playing with are all harassing him online, and so he is himself feeling more and more isolated, he’s posting less on X, he’s distancing himself a little bit more from the administration, and I think that he understands that he’s the most unlikeable person in this country, so we’ve got to continue that pressure.
Musk ended a livestream of himself playing Path of Exile 2 on Saturday after viewers began to cyberbully him in the comments.
“YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS AND YOU WILL DIE ALONE,” read one comment, while another said, “YOU WILL ALWAYS FEEL INSECURE AND IT WILL NEVER GO AWAY.”
Another viewer, who posed as Musk’s recent alleged baby mama Ashley St. Clair, commented, “Elon. It’s me, Ashley St. Claire. I have no other means of contacting you so I bought PoE2 early access. Please pay your child support. Thank you Elon.”
