Embarrassing moment CNN’s Anderson Cooper misgenders questioner during Bernie Sanders town hall

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has been corrected on air after misgendering an audience member during a town hall with Senator Bernie Sanders.

During the Wednesday town hall, while introducing Grace Thomas, a civil rights attorney, Cooper referred to Thomas as “she".

Thomas quickly responded, “They/them pronouns, actually. Thank you.”

Cooper replied with a brief “Oh,” and Thomas moved on to ask a question about gender.
