Cristiano Ronaldo Enters Hollywood? Portuguese Legend Partners With Star Director To Open Independent Film Studio
Ronaldo is not new to films. He was part of a 2015 biopic, created by the same production team that released films on pop icon Amy Winehouse and F1 legend Ayrton Senna.

After his astonishing success as a YouTuber, Cristiano Ronaldo has now ventured into the movie business, collaborating with British director Matthew Vaughn. The legendary duo has launched an independent film studio– UR-MARV.
Ronaldo shared the exciting news through a joint statement, which begins with – “Cristiano Ronaldo loves movies; Matthew Vaughn loves sports – and they both have a good story. Both have been disruptive champions at their game and will now combine the world of sport and storytelling…"

The production house, which aims to bring a new era of filmmaking by “embracing innovative technology, with a nod to tradition", has already started working on an action trilogy.
The first two movies of the series, financed and produced by Ur-Marv, have already been completed. The production of its third installment is currently underway.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business," Ronaldo said about his partnership with Vaughn. The Portuguese football legend, who has won five Ballon d’Ors in his illustrious career, hopes to replicate the success as a film producer.
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero," Vaughn said following the launch of UR-MARV.

Vaughn has carved a niche for himself in the action genre with his sharp storytelling. His directorial resume features popular films like “Layer Cake" (2004), “Kick-Ass" (2010), and “X-Men: First Class (2011).
His last work was a spy thriller, “Argylle," featuring Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard. Vaughn is currently directing two films in the “Kingsman" franchise, which was unveiled in 2014.

As far as his football assignments are concerned, Ronaldo was last seen in action for Al Nassr in a Saudi Pro League fixture against Al Hilal on April 4. He struck a brace in the match, leading his team to secure a 3-1 victory in the away fixture.
