Brussels: Qatar has participated in the support conference for Gambia hosted by the European Commission in Brussels.
Qatar was represented by H E Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Qatar’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and head of its missions to the EU and the Nato.
Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, opened the conference in the presence of Gambian President Adama Barrow and a number of officials of the Government of Gambia.
International donations reached about €1.05bn.
