Haiti - DR : The Embassy of the United States launches an alert for the demonstrations in Haiti
Monday due to multiple protest announcements in Haiti, the US Embassy in the Dominican Republic announced the restriction of routine travel to Haiti for US government employees, due to concerns over insecurity in the country neighbor right now and for the next few days.

Recommendations to travelers :

Avoid land travel to Haiti from the Dominican Republic;
Check Haiti information with the State Department before traveling;
Consider delaying your travel by air or other means in Haiti at this time;
Review your personal security plan;
Share your details and travel plans with your family or friends;

In Haiti :
Watch the local media;
If traveling by land in Haiti, consider caravans of two vehicles, if possible;
If you find yourself in a street blocked by barricades or protesters, turn turn back and go to a safe place;
Have an evacuation plan that does not depend on the help of the US government.
