IRWIN, Idaho (KLIX)-An alleged drunk driver is facing numerous charges in Idaho after running from law enforcement in Wyoming Monday.

Idaho State Police said Andrew Thomason, 34, of Powell, could face more charges in Wyoming as he faces charges of battery on an officer, driving while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a crash. Powell is accused of fleeing from Wyoming Highway Patrol on U.S. Highway 25 into Idaho, just east of Irwin at around 5 p.m.

Wyoming officers stopped chasing Thomason as he entered Idaho. ISP said the suspect didn't get far before wrecking his 1997 Plymouth sedan and then ran on foot. ISP and the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office got to the scene and later found the man.
